First Day of School

The kids started school on August 12th. We are starting at a new school this year. Everyone was nervous for their first day, but it went good for everyone. Now, a week later, everyone seems to like it and be happy. We had a rough year last year, so we really hope for a good year this year. 

Dave is teaching middle school in Gallup. Amy is doing her student teaching in 2nd grade.

Colton is in 10th (high school), Dallin is in 8th and Carly is in 6th (middle school), Ethan is in 4th and Travis is in 1st (elementary school).

                                                                                                                         

Back To Blogging

I am going to try to start my blog again because I like to use it as our family's journal. It has been a few years since I have written, and I haven't done a very good job of keeping track of our pictures and what we have been up to. Hopefully I can keep up with it better!

Memorial Day

We went to the cabin for Memorial Weekend, and took the kids fishing.

We only caught one fish, which we cooked and shared for dinner.

 

Rattlesnake

 I found a rattlesnake in the rabbit pen, watching the baby rabbits very closely.  Dave was gone in his semi, so I had to take care of it myself.  I felt bad that I had to shoot it, but I didn't want it to eat the rabbits or bite the kids.

So far we have 6 babies, 5 are does and 1 buck.

End of School

Ethan graduated from Kindergarten.  They had a really cute graduation program for them.

Each of the kids gave a speech.

The kids had a great year, and did well in school. They all got a lot of awards at the end of the year for all their hard work.

Canoe Trip/ Camping Trip

The last week of March was our Spring Break.

Colton went on a 4 day/50 mile canoe trip with the Boy Scouts.

 

 While Colton was off canoeing, I took the kids on a camping trip to Pueblo Park.

 We went on a couple hikes, and had a fun time.
