Our not so fun shopping trip

We went to Tucson last weekend to go to look for some furniture, and to go to Home Depot. Well, the first place we went to was Sam Levitz. We probably spent 3 hours in that store. Finally we talked ourselves into getting a couch and love seat, plus a bunk bed and mattresses for the boys. They were having a special that if you spend a certain amount you get 10%, 15%, or 25%, and up off of your purchase price. We added it up and we were $20.00 away from getting 25% off our purchase price. Dave asked them if we could get 25% off anyway, but they wouldn't no matter what (they told us to buy a throw rug, which we didn't need, or a stool, which we need 2 of, but we would have had to spend $150 more for those, and we didn't want to spend that much on stools). Dave asked one more time and they said no, so we just walked out the store. I didn't feel bad because I didn't love the couches that we had picked out, I just felt bad that we had spent so much time in the store and came out with nothing.

After that we went to Home Depot. By then the kids were grumpy and had enough of shopping, so we tried to hurry. Dave was checking out while I ran to get one more thing. When I came back I didn't see Dallin, so I asked Dave, "Where is Dallin?" He was no where around. What a terrible feeling! So the cashier told another worker, and they announced over the loud speaker that there was a "Code Adam." All the workers started searching the store, and finally after a few minutes which felt like forever they found him. As if that wasn't enough to attract attention to ourselves, Colton decided he had to have some candy and when we said no he started throwing a big fit. I had to drag him screaming and crying out of the store. It was not a fun experience!

We went somewhere for dinner after that, and then went to Lazy Boy Furniture. We liked some couches there, but they are kind of expensive, so we decided to think about it before we bought them. If anyone knows a good place where we can get good quality couches for not too much money let me know!

Here are some of the couches we liked

We liked this one in a brown color

Have you looked for furniture on craigslist? We found most of the furniture for our house from craigslist... and found some really great deals. Sorry to hear about your day. Shopping can be challenging with kids.

I liked the first brown couch in your pictures. Sorry to hear about your shopping trip - sounds very frustrating!
