The Saturday before our Spring Break in March Dallin got shot in the face with a BB gun. Colton and Dallin were outside playing and Colton had his gun (which Dave had made sure was empty).
Well, it wasn't! Dallin was bleeding all over the place, and it took a while for Colton to tell us what had happened. The gun has been taken away for a really long time!
Dallin liked to tell people when they asked about the spot that his brother shot him with his gun.
The spot where the BB went in healed, but the bump never went away. Dave stuck magnets on the spot, and they stuck. Dallin was pretty proud of that, and he thought it was cool. We went and got an x-ray of Dallin's face, and sure enough, the BB is still in there. The doctor said they have seen a lot of BB's stuck in kid's faces lately (mostly from being shot by a sibling).
He is going to a different doctor in May to see about getting it out.
The little round white spot below his nose is the BB.

I am sure it was scary when he was bleeding all over the place, but this will end up being a story Dallin will love to tell when he is older. (how his brother once shot him in the face with a bb gun) Hope everything goes well and he heals up ok!
How scarry! Hope all goes well with the surgery. Let us know what happens.
