I got these chairs from Dave's dad, because I happened to mention that I thought it would be fun to fix up some old chairs. These are not really what I had in mind, and I don't really know what to do with them! They are in pretty bad shape. Any one have any ideas?

I had the same idea because we are in need of some chairs. I found some old ones and held onto them for a few months but I finally threw them away yesterday because I just didn't have time! They were in really bad shape too though. The chairs that you have are interesting! I'm not sure what you could do with those! :)
