We decided we wanted to try to hatch some chicks, so we started out with 42 eggs in the incubater.
Last week they started hatching. It was cool to see the chicks cracking out of their eggs.
We ended up with 26 chicks. We figure about half will be roosters, they will be dinner in a few months, and the hens will hopefully be good egg layers for us so we can sell more eggs.
Next we are hoping to get some turkey eggs.
