At the beginning of July we had a couple bears around. Dave was chasing one up a hill, and didn't know there was another one around. So while he was busy with one, the other killed one of our milk goats. (All the goats were out grazing.) It was a very sad day! She was the goat that had just had a baby. Luckily, another goat let the baby nurse from her.
Our dogs treed the bear, and
Dave called the Game and Fish and they came and took it away.
Poor Carrie!
