We had our County Fair in August.
This year for 4H Colton showed a pig and a goat.
He did really good with both of them.
He got fifth place with his pig, and third place with his goat.
Brutus was a really good looking goat!
The other kids were in the pet show. Carly showed her pet rooster, Rusty, and Dallin and Ethan showed their baby goat, Bernard.
A very sad thing happened just a couple weeks before the fair. The other pig Colton was raising didn't want to get up one morning to eat. He just got sicker and sicker, /Dave was out of town, and I didn't know what to do.
Around lunch time I went out to check on him, and he was really gasping for air. All I could do was watch and cry as he tried so hard to get up and couldn't. Then he took his last breath and died. It was awful! I didn't like having to see that! And he died so close to fair time. We are still not sure what was wrong with him.
